Nepenthes maxima adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu dari famili Nepenthaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sulawesi hingga Papua. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama kantong semar maksimum. Nama ilmiah Nepenthes maxima pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Caspar Georg Carl Reinwardt pada tahun 1824.
