Paku kinca merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Polypodiaceae. Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Nephrolepis hirsutula ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Indo-China hingga Pasifik. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan scaly swordfern. Nama ilmiah Nephrolepis hirsutula diperkenalkan oleh Georg Forster pada tahun 1836.
