Nicotiana forsteri adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Queensland utara-tengah dan timur, New South Wales timur, Pulau Lord Howe, hingga Kaledonia Baru. Nama ilmiah Nicotiana forsteri pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Jacob Roemer pada tahun 1819.
Nicotiana australis R.Br. ex Domin Nicotiana debneyi Domin Nicotiana suaveolens var. debneyi F.M.Bailey Nicotiana suaveolens var. parviflora Benth.
