Nothocestrum peltatum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Solanaceae (suku terong-terongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Kauai). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan oahu aiea. Nama ilmiah Nothocestrum peltatum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Johan Fredrik Skottsberg pada tahun 1944.
