Nothofagus resinosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Nothofagaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama garuwa. Nama ilmiah Nothofagus resinosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Cornelis Gijsbert Gerrit Jan van Steenis pada tahun 1952.
