Nototriche orbignyana merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Chili (Tarapacá). Nama ilmiah Nototriche orbignyana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hugh Algernon Weddell pada tahun 1906.
