Nymphoides peltata merupakan tumbuhan tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Menyanthaceae yang hidup menahun. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eurasia beriklim sedang hingga Aljazair. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan yellow floatingheart. Nama ilmiah Nymphoides peltata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Samuel Gottlieb Gmelin pada tahun 1891.
