Ocotea floribunda merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan laurel espada. Nama ilmiah Ocotea floribunda pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1889.
