Ocotea sericea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Ekuador. Nama ilmiah Ocotea sericea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1817.
