Ocotea tarapotana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Peru. Nama ilmiah Ocotea tarapotana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Daniel Friedrich Meissner pada tahun 1889.
