Odontonema cuspidatum merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tengah dan selatan hingga Honduras. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mottled toothedthread. Nama ilmiah Odontonema cuspidatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1891.
