Oecopetalum mexicanum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Metteniusaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Oecopetalum mexicanum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jesse More Greenman pada tahun 1912.
