Oenothera cespitosa subsp. marginata merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Onagraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nepal, China (Sichuan dan Yunnan), hingga Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Oenothera cespitosa subsp. marginata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1965.
