Okenia hypogaea merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Nyctaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Florida selatan, Meksiko hingga Nikaragua. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan burrowing four o'clock. Nama ilmiah Okenia hypogaea diperkenalkan oleh Diederich Franz Leonhard von Schlechtendal pada tahun 1830.
