Olea capensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Oleaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan, Komoro, Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Olea capensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
