Olyra retrorsa merupakan tumbuhan bambu dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan) yang memiliki batang basah (herba). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Mato Grosso). Nama ilmiah Olyra retrorsa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Robert Soderstrom pada tahun 1989.
