Onobrychis altissima merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye hingga Iran. Nama ilmiah Onobrychis altissima diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alexander Alfonsovich Grossheim pada tahun 1929.
