Onobrychis argentea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Spanyol tenggara. Nama ilmiah Onobrychis argentea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1840.
