Onobrychis heterophylla merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Transkaukasia. Nama ilmiah Onobrychis heterophylla diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Anton von Meyer pada tahun 1831.
