Onobrychis megataphros merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye hingga Iran dan Suriah. Nama ilmiah Onobrychis megataphros pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1843.
