Onobrychis richardi merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Ethiopia (Tigray Upland). Nama ilmiah Onobrychis richardi diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1871.
