Onobrychis squarrosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania timur. Nama ilmiah Onobrychis squarrosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Domenico Viviani pada tahun 1830.
