Ononis fruticosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Prancis tenggara, Spanyol tengah dan timur, hingga Afrika barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan shrubby restharrow. Nama ilmiah Ononis fruticosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
