Opuntia maxima adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko tengah dan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Opuntia maxima pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Philip Miller pada tahun 1768.
