Opuntia tuna merupakan tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk perdu dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan elephantear pricklypear. Nama ilmiah Opuntia tuna diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Philip Miller pada tahun 1768.
