Opuntia velutina adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Opuntia velutina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frédéric Albert Constantin Weber pada tahun 1904.
