Orbivestus leopoldii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ethiopia, Djibouti, hingga Jazirah Arab. Nama ilmiah Orbivestus leopoldii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Heinrich "Bipontinus" Schultz pada tahun 2009.
