Orectanthe sceptrum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Xyridaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela selatan hingga Guyana barat. Nama ilmiah Orectanthe sceptrum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Daniel Oliver pada tahun 1958.
