Oreobolus strictus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Selandia Baru (termasuk Pulau Stewart). Nama ilmiah Oreobolus strictus diperkenalkan oleh Sven Berggren pada tahun 1877.
