Orobanche australis merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Orobanchaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Sardegna Sicilia, W Italia barat daya. Nama ilmiah Orobanche australis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Giuseppe Giacinto Moris pada tahun 1846.
