Orobanche cernua merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Orobanchaceae yang tumbuh menahun. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah benua Asia, Afrika, dan Eropa (Benua Lama). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan nodding broomrape. Nama ilmiah Orobanche cernua pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Pehr Loefling pada tahun 1758.
