Orophea polycarpa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Annonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Argentina (Jujuy dan Salta utara). Nama ilmiah Orophea polycarpa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alphonse Louis Pierre Pyrame de Candolle pada tahun 1832.
