Ortegia hispanica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Caryophyllaceae yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania barat dan tengah. Nama ilmiah Ortegia hispanica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
