Orthocarpus pachystachyus merupakan tumbuhan hemiparasit berumur semusim dari famili Orobanchaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California utara dan timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan shasta owl's-clover. Nama ilmiah Orthocarpus pachystachyus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1878.
