Orthrosanthus occissapungus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Orthrosanthus occissapungus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Hipólito Ruiz López pada tahun 1930.
