Osbeckia rostrata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga China (Yunnan) dan Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Osbeckia rostrata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama David Don pada tahun 1825.
