Osteospermum junceum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Osteospermum junceum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Peter Jonas Bergius pada tahun 1767.
