Otiophora cupheoides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Utara bagian timur (Afsel) hingga Eswatini. Nama ilmiah Otiophora cupheoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicholas Edward Brown pada tahun 1884.
