Oxalis falcatula merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Oxalidaceae (suku belimbing-belimbingan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Oxalis falcatula pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Terence Macleane Salter pada tahun 1939.
