Oxalis grandis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Oxalidaceae (suku belimbing-belimbingan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan great yellow woodsorrel. Nama ilmiah Oxalis grandis diperkenalkan oleh John Kunkel Small pada tahun 1894.
