Oxalis magnifica merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Oxalidaceae (suku belimbing-belimbingan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Michoacán, Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Oxalis magnifica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Nelson Rose pada tahun 1919.
