Oxalis pes-caprae merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Oxalidaceae (suku belimbing-belimbingan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Namibia hingga Provinsi Cape. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan bermuda buttercup. Nama ilmiah Oxalis pes-caprae diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
