Oxalis texana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Oxalidaceae (suku belimbing-belimbingan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arkansas hingga Texas. Nama ilmiah Oxalis texana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Kunkel Small pada tahun 1919.
