Oxyanthus laxiflorus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nigeria selatan hingga kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Oxyanthus laxiflorus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Karl Moritz Schumann pada tahun 1931.
