Pachystachys spicata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Karibia hingga kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cardinal's-guard. Nama ilmiah Pachystachys spicata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hipólito Ruiz López pada tahun 1986.
