Paepalanthus barbulatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Bahia). Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus barbulatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Theodor Carl Julius Herzog pada tahun 1924.
