Paepalanthus dianthoides merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil (Bahia hingga Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus dianthoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1863.
