Paepalanthus dichotomus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia tenggara hingga Guyana dan Brazil. Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus dichotomus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Friedrich Klotzsch pada tahun 1863.
