Paepalanthus elongatus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil barat-tengah dan timur. Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus elongatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis August Gustav Heinrich von Bongard pada tahun 1863.
