Paepalanthus fluviatilis merupakan tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Eriocaulaceae yang hidup semusim. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Paepalanthus fluviatilis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean Baptiste Christophore Fusée Aublet pada tahun 2018.
